Claudio Dondi
Claudio Dondi, born in Modena in 1958 and an industrial economist as a university background, is the President of SCIENTER – a non-profit research organisation based in Bologna and active Europe-wide in the field of innovation of education and training systems – since its establishment in 1988. In this position his main activities are the co-ordination of large national and European projects, as well as policy advice and evaluation at regional, national and international level. His other positions include: Professor of Human Resource Development at the College of Europe in Bruges (1998-2003), President of European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning, Member of the Board of the MENON NETWORK, Vice-President of EDEN – European Distance Education Network, Vice-President of EIFEL-European Institute for E-Learning and Member of the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Educational Technology.

Nicolas Ducoulombier
Nicolas Ducoulombier was born in Longjumeau in 1981. He has a Computer Science degree from the university of South Australia. He is one of the founder of "Les Développements Durables" - a company specialised in free software. Since 2003 he is in charge of projet management for Les Développements Durables. He is also since 2004 the president of the Gnu/Linux User group of the basque country.

Sébastien Ducoulombier
Sébastien Ducoulombier was born in Paris in 1973. In 1997, he got a Computer Science Honors Degree at the University of Teesside, UK. After a few years working on e-commerce, web applications and online games in England then in France, Sébastien co-founded in 2003 "Les Développements Durables", a Free Software company, where he works as a senior systems engineer. He is married with 3 children.

Simon Heid
Simon Heid was born in 1977 in Nürnberg. He studied psychology at University of Erlangen-Nürnberg with a Diploma degree in 2002. Since 2003 he is researcher at FIM NeuesLernen, working on development of e-learning environments and e-content related to psychology and key qualifications. He is developing e-learning courses, e.g. for the Virtual University of Bavaria. His special interest in work is the use of virtual communication facilities for learning purposes. Among participation in several European research and development projects in the field of education and training, he is one of the coordinators of TALE, a project setting up an European story telling platform using weblog technique and analysing the value of story telling for learning.

Paul Held
Paul Held was born in 1951. He has a Degree in Studies of Psychology and Roman Languages and Literature in Erlangen and Marseille and a subsequent Master Degree in Psychology. Since 1979 Senior Developer and Author of Open Learning Material in the field of Psychology - Lecturer at Erlangen University - Trainer in Adult Education - Project manager under Telematics for Education and Training, Socrates, Leonardo et al. - Editor of several publications in the field of Open and Distance Learning (e.g. ALTNEWS, AGORA Newsletter, TRIBUNE Bulletin, AGORA Bulletin, TRIBUNE Collection, Telematics for Education and Training) - Member of regional community computing board - Member of SMILE NET board - Member fo OTE board - Member of working group of German University media centers (AMH). Since 1986 deputy head of department, co-founder of the regional senior citizens computer network, organizer of related conferences.

Daniela Lambertini
Daniela Lambertini (7 November 1961), office manager of MENON Network, since March 2002. She coordinates the administrative and financial aspects of the different activities of the MENON EEIG. Financial officer and contact person for any financial matter regarding KITE.

Birgit Lao
Birgit Lao was born in 1977. She has a law degree from University of Tartu. Since 2002 she works for the Association of Estonian Adult Educators (AEAE) Andras and since 2004 she is the Secretary General of the organisation. Among participation in several European education projects she is organizing the qualification courses for adult educators.

Ildikó Mázár
Ildikó Mázár (1976), graduated at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2002 as bio-engineer, and, in 2002 she completed a distance educational course entitled “Course development, learning management”. Since September 2002 she is obtaining her first job at the European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN) as Project Manager (earlier Project Co-ordinator). The language competence of Ms. Mázár includes English (fluent) and Dutch (basic).

Margarita Pérez-García
Margarita Pérez-García, born in Caracas in 1969, is a researcher in education science, working with MENON Network in Brussels, Belgium and SCIENTER in Bologna, Italy, where she coordinates 2 projects on mobility issues. Margarita has two degrees in Roman literature and Linguistics and its subsequents Master degrees (University Paul Valery, Montpellier). She has been working in the field of education for 14 years in all levels from primary through secondary to higher education. Nine years ago she started a professional development programme in e-Learning, led by Metropolitain University (Caracas) in collaboration with ITESM (Mexico) and RPI (New York). From then she has been working on the use of ICT to improve learning processes. Her major fields of interest include learning difficulties, gender equality and the use of social technologies in education. Andras Szucs
András Szucs (1956), graduated as bio-engineer in 1980. After ten years of university teaching at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, from 1990 held international posts as Director of the EU TEMPUS Programme in Hungary (1990-95), Director of the EU PHARE Central-Eastern European Distance Education Programme (1994-96), Director of the European Communication Strategy Programme of the Hungarian Government (1996). The language command of Dr. Szucs includes English (fluent), French (excellent), German (excellent) and Russian (good). Since 1997, Executive Director, from 2000 Secretary General of EDEN, the European Distance and E-Learning Network. Since his appointment in September 2000, he is Director of the Centre for Distance and Adult Learning at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 1996-97, Secretary General, since 1998 President of the Supervisory Board of the Hungarian Association of Industrial Parks. Since January 2005 Dr. Szucs is member of the Consultative Committee on Industrial Change in the European Economic and Social Committee.
